Usage
Calcite is used — in natural ground or coated form — in many plastic products such as plastic furniture, window profiles, cables, pipes, packaging, automotive parts, floor coverings, household appliances, and shoe soles. Coating is most often done with stearic acid, sometimes with calcium stearate. Polypropylene, polyamide, thermoplastic, and PVC resins are the main plastics in which calcite is used as filler.
