Ore preparation
Production begins with the selection of suitable-quality calcite stone. Raw material quality is the key determinant of the product’s whiteness, purity, and performance in its application.
Etna Maden
A product family produced by crushing and screening calcite stone, classified into various sizes between 100 and 3000 microns.
Production Logic
The goal in granular calcite production is not to grind calcite stone into fine powder like micronized product, but to prepare a classified, consistent, and ready-to-dispatch product within the specific particle-size ranges each application requires.
Production begins with the selection of suitable-quality calcite stone. Raw material quality is the key determinant of the product’s whiteness, purity, and performance in its application.
Calcite stone arriving from the quarry is reduced to sizes suited for granular production. The goal at this stage is to break the stone in a controlled way and prepare it for the subsequent screening and classification steps.
The crushed material passes through screens and is separated into different particle-size groups. Screening quality is critical for the homogeneity of the granular product and its fit to the application.
Granular calcite is classified into various sizes between 100 and 3000 microns based on demand. The product is then tailored to the granular structure required by the application.
Classified granular products are stocked separately by particle size and product type, enabling fast response to orders and continuity of supply.
Granular calcite is delivered to customers in kraft bag, PP sack, big bag, or the appropriate dispatch format based on demand. Packaging is finalized by volume, application, and delivery location.
Particle Size Range
Granular calcite can be prepared in various classes within the 100–3000 micron range. The right product is determined by reviewing application, target particle size, packaging, and dispatch volume together.
Use & Order Information
For a granular calcite order, the application area, target particle-size range, packaging preference, and dispatch volume directly shape product preparation.
Granular calcite is mainly used in construction chemicals, insulation, ceramics, welding electrodes and animal feed applications. For micron-scale powders, see micronized calcite.
