40–100 micron materials are typically used in glaze applications.

Used as the main filler — particularly in cream detergent production — thanks to high whiteness and density.

Calcite use is increasing in paint and its derivatives. As an extender, it provides surface coverage and reduces titanium dioxide consumption.
